ROMA II  - a Gala evening that we were prive to during ALTAROMA, began with a retrospective Haute Couture parade by the special guest, Jean Paul Gaultier shown in Santo Spirito in Sassia.

This followed with a private viewing in the magnificent GALLERIA BORGHESE. Here we were able to stare in wonder at sculptures such as 'Statue of David', 'Apollo & Daphne', by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, 'Pauline Bonaparte' (as Venus Victrix) by Antonio Canova, and the painting 'David with The Head of Goliath' by Caravaggio, to name just a few masterpieces ..... A glorious dinner followed in the gardens. What to say but "WOW" to a sublime evening!
