BOOK - Hot off the press is the book "Impressions d'Ateliers" which gives an insight to the studios & works of 33 contemporary artists living & working on the Cote d'Azur.

There is an introduction interview with Ben Vautier who is part of L'Ecole de Nice - along with such artists such as Yves Klein, Martial Raysse, Cesar etc

This book is focused on todays artists on the French Riviera. Published by Gazelle Communications with South Art Editions.

BEN SIGNE NICE - Another exhibtion that began last Saturday was the 50 year anniversay for the Fluxus movement. Held at Villa Arson Nice, it explores

& reflects back on the movement that had a profound effect on artists around the Cote d'Azur & the world.

PAPER INSPIRATION - An exhibition that opened on Saturday by the talented Swiss artist & patron Gottfried Honegger at Espace de l'Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux. It is a comprehensive narrative of collages from around the world from 1912-2012.

 

"The use of raw elements, bits of reality taken directly from daily life & integrated as such onto the surface of a work, would go largely beyond the scope of Cubism & would have a profound impact on other movements such as Futurism, Constructivism & Dadaism."
